A New Kind of Opening Experience - Feb 28th

In 2026, the Community Show opening will move away from a traditional entertainment- or awards-focused reception and instead embrace an educational and experiential approach. The opening event will center on learning, process, and artistic exchange.

Live performing artists will offer demonstrations, giving visitors the opportunity to see creative practices in action. The ForceFields will present performance art, expanding the definition of what an art exhibition can be and creating space for movement, experimentation, and dialogue.

In addition, the opening will include artist talks, allowing participating artists to share insights into their work, materials, inspirations, and creative journeys.

Why the Community Show Matters

The 2026 Community Show is about more than displaying artwork—it’s about access, education, and connection. By opening participation to the public, centering learning and performance, and creating opportunities for artists to teach and share, this exhibition reflects our commitment to making the arts welcoming and accessible to all.
